First Step into the UK Market

Rimac Energy, the energy arm of Croatia's Rimac Group, is taking its first step into the UK market with its SineStack battery energy storage system. The company is gearing up to deliver the SineStack unit to Colchester by 2025, where it will serve as a cutting-edge solution for grid stabilization and energy storage. Rimac Energy’s Director, Wasim Sarwar Dilov, has expressed excitement about this project, noting that SineStack represents a major advance in energy storing technology.

What Makes SineStack Different?

Unlike many conventional battery systems, SineStack is designed to retain zero energy fade capacity in its first two years of operation. This means that the battery will hold onto more of its original capacity for longer, which leads to greater energy output and improved revenue generation for operators. The system also boasts an impressive lifetime of 12,000 cycles, making it one of the most durable options on the market today.

Innovative Technology at Its Core

SineStack isn’t just a regular battery—its design is uniquely adapted to the specific characteristics of every single battery cell. Using adaptive software, it adjusts power conversion operations in real time, ensuring that energy extraction is maximized and temperatures are kept balanced. This not only enhances performance but extends the battery's life. According to Sarwar Dilov, Director of Rimac Energy, “our product takes a monumental technological leap forward,” allowing for greater efficiency and flexibility in its deployment.

Maximizing Impact on the UK’s Energy Grid

With SineStack’s arrival in Colchester, Rimac Energy is set to provide a powerful solution to the challenges of balancing renewable energy supply and demand. By seamlessly integrating with the grid, this advanced battery system will allow more efficient use of clean energy sources, reducing dependence on non-renewable options. The innovative design will not only stabilize the grid but also create new opportunities for increasing renewable energy integration across the UK. This delivery marks a significant milestone for both Rimac Energy and the UK, as the country continues its journey toward a more resilient and sustainable energy system.
