Resouro Joins MagBras Initiative to Strengthen Brazil’s Rare Earth Supply Chain

Resouro Strategic Metals (ASX: RAU) has taken a significant step toward securing Brazil’s rare earth supply chainby joining the MagBras Initiative, a project dedicated to establishing a fully integrated and sustainable rare earth permanent magnet production network within Brazil.

The MagBras Initiative is led by prominent Brazilian industrial training and innovation institutions, including SENAI MG, SENAI SC, and the Rede de Institutos SENAI de Inovação. The project has secured comprehensive funding from government agencies in Minas Gerais, a key mining-friendly state, to support its full development.

A High-Profile Collaboration in the Critical Minerals Sector

The MagBras Group brings together major industry players, including Stellantis, Iveco, Vale, Mosaic, Schulz, and Weg, among others. Notably, Stellantis, one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers, is directly linked to Resouro’s role in the initiative, reinforcing its position in the global rare earth supply chain.

💬 Philippe Martins, Executive Director of Resouro Strategic Metals, emphasized the importance of this collaboration:
"We are honored to play a key role in the MagBras Initiative, a transformative project spearheaded by SENAI and leading industry stakeholders. This partnership paves the way for Resouro to contribute to a sustainable and fully integrated rare earth supply chain, strengthening Brazil’s role as a global leader in critical minerals."

Resouro’s Commitment to the MagBras Initiative

As part of the collaboration, Resouro will contribute product samples, strategic insights, and in-kind support while also committing USD $35,000 in four installments (May, July, September, and November 2025) to further the initiative’s objectives.

This move aligns with Resouro’s strategy to enhance Brazil’s critical minerals production and reduce global reliance on China for rare earth elements, a crucial component in advanced technologies such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems.

Tiros Project: A Cornerstone for Brazil’s Rare Earth Future

Resouro’s Tiros Project stands as one of the largest JORC-compliant rare earth and titanium deposits globally, with a current mineral resource estimate of 1.7 billion tonnes in the Tiros Central Block—which represents just 7% of the project’s total 497km² area. Ongoing exploration indicates significant resource expansion potential.

🔹 Recent drilling results have confirmed high-grade intervals near the surface, further solidifying Tiros’s world-class potential.
🔹 The company recently appointed Progesys International as project engineering managers and launched a comprehensive work program to develop Tiros into a low-cost critical minerals mine.
🔹 A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in late 2024 with Minas Gerais State Economic Development Department and Invest Minas aims to accelerate permitting, construction, and mining operationsat the site.

Positioning Brazil as a Global Rare Earth Hub

Brazil is rapidly emerging as a key player in the global critical minerals market, with projects such as Sigma Lithium’s Grota do Cirilo and Serra Verde’s rare earth development attracting international attention.

By securing its place within the MagBras Initiative, Resouro is positioning itself as a key supplier for Brazil’s rare earth industry and a strategic partner in developing a fully localized critical minerals supply chain—a step that could significantly strengthen the country’s global competitiveness in rare earth production.

With this initiative, Brazil moves closer to establishing itself as a leader in sustainable, locally sourced rare earth production, reducing dependency on external markets and securing a stable supply chain for the rapidly growing energy transition sector.
