Minas Gerais Launches $4 Million Incentive Program to Attract Innovative Companies

Minas Gerais is one of Brazil’s leading job-creating states, driven by a business-friendly environment that continues to attract private investments. To strengthen its position as a hub for innovation and economic growth, the State Secretariat for Economic Development (Sede-MG) has launched the "Come to Minas" program, offering $4 million (R$ 20 million) in non-repayable grants to businesses across all sectors looking to establish or expand operations in the state.


Minas Gerais: A Top Destination for Business & Investment

Since 2019, Minas Gerais has successfully attracted over $90 billion (R$ 461 billion) in private investments, leading to the creation of 240,000 direct jobs across 299 municipalities. In 2024 alone, the state welcomed 228 new projects, securing $14 billion (R$ 70.6 billion) in investments and generating 45,000 new direct jobs in 114 cities.

With over 875,000 jobs created since 2019, Minas Gerais is on track to surpass one million new formal jobs, reinforcing its reputation as a key economic driver in Brazil.

The Come to Minas program is a partnership between Sede-MG, Fapemig (Minas Gerais Research Support Foundation), and Invest Minas, designed to attract Innovation, Research & Development Centers (R&D) and Tech-Based Companies to the state.
