Spark Energy Minerals Inc. (CSE: SPRK) (OTC Pink: SPARF) (FSE: 8PC), a leading critical minerals exploration company, has announced a major milestone in its lithium exploration campaign within Brazil’s Lithium Valley: the identification of a new high-priority target named Cruzeta, delivering the company’s highest lithium anomaly to date.

This breakthrough stems from preliminary fieldwork and surface geochemical sampling within the Arapaima Lithium Project, Spark’s flagship asset covering a vast and highly prospective area of 64,359 hectares in northern Minas Gerais.

Exceptional Lithium Grades and Pathfinder Elements

Early-stage rock chip sampling at Cruzeta has returned lithium (Li) concentrations of up to 1,397 ppm, representing the highest results Spark has recorded since initiating exploration in Brazil. In addition to lithium, the samples revealed elevated levels of key pathfinder elements, typically associated with fertile LCT (lithium-cesium-tantalum) pegmatites:

  • Tantalum (Ta): up to 31 ppm
  • Niobium (Nb): up to 413 ppm
  • Cesium (Cs): up to 106.8 ppm
  • Gallium (Ga): up to 165 ppm

One of the most telling indicators of lithium potential at Cruzeta is the potassium-to-rubidium (K/Rb) ratio, which reached values as low as 23.84. These unusually low ratios are characteristic of highly fractionated pegmatites — a strong geochemical fingerprint pointing to advanced evolution and a greater likelihood of lithium enrichment.

“These early results are very encouraging,” said Eugene Hodgson, CEO of Spark Energy Minerals. “We believe Cruzeta could play a central role in advancing our exploration efforts toward drill-defined lithium resources in the near term. Brazil’s Lithium Valley has immense potential, and we’re committed to unlocking it responsibly and strategically.”

Regional Scale Potential Across 13 Trends

The Cruzeta anomaly is just one of over 123 mapped pegmatite bodies within Spark’s current tenement holdings. So far, the company has delineated 13 distinct pegmatite trends, several of which show visible lithium mineralization and host artisanal workings — a sign of long-standing local interest in the region’s mineral wealth.

Alongside Cruzeta, Spark has also defined two other lithium-rich zones: Água Branca and Grota do Maquém, each demonstrating strong geochemical and structural characteristics for future drilling. Additionally, the company’s Caladão Target has shown anomalous Rare Earth Elements (REEs), hinting at further critical mineral potential beyond lithium.

A Strategic Bet on Brazil’s Lithium Valley

Brazil’s Lithium Valley is fast becoming one of the most attractive emerging jurisdictions for lithium exploration and production, thanks to favorable geology, robust infrastructure, and strong government support. Global demand for battery-grade lithium continues to rise, and Spark’s early entry into the region positions it advantageously as the critical minerals race accelerates.

Spark Energy Minerals is committed to transparent, science-based exploration and is preparing to ramp up detailed geological mapping, structural interpretation, and geochemical profiling across the Cruzeta trend. These steps will support future drill planning and resource definition.

“We are extremely satisfied with the identification of this new high-quality Cruzeta Target. It contains our highest anomalous lithium values to date and further validates the exploration potential of Arapaima,” said Jonathan Hill, Director, Spark Energy Minerals.

“This is just the beginning,” said Hodgson. “We’ve built an experienced local team, secured one of the most promising land packages in Latin America, and we’re executing with speed and purpose.”

Looking Ahead

The results from Cruzeta mark a pivotal step in Spark Energy Minerals’ mission to build a leading position in Brazil’s lithium sector. With these anomalies confirmed, a pipeline of additional targets under review, and strong regional momentum, Spark is entering a new phase of value creation. As global energy markets seek secure, diversified sources of critical minerals, the company is well-positioned to contribute meaningfully to the world’s clean energy transition — starting with Lithium Valley.
