 Cauchari-Olaroz

Location: Jujuy, Argentina
Status: Operational (since 2023)
Owner: Lithium Americas & Ganfeng Lithium
Installed Capacity: 40,000 tonnes of LCE per year

The Cauchari-Olaroz project is one of the largest lithium projects in Argentina. It sits within the Lithium Triangle and is expected to increase its production capacity over the next few years to support global battery demand.

Zonda Solar

Location: San Juan, Argentina
Status: Under development, first phase expected operational in 2024
Owner: Total Eren & YPF Luz
Installed Capacity: 300 MW (Phase 1) with plans to expand to 500 MW

Zonda Solar is one of Argentina’s largest solar energy projects, part of the country’s efforts to diversify energy sources. It will contribute to Argentina's renewable energy target by generating significant amounts of solar power in a region with high solar irradiance.

Fénix Lithium

Location: Salta, Argentina
Status: Early-stage development
Owner: Posco Argentina
Installed Capacity: Targeting up to 25,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide per year

Fénix is located in the Salar del Hombre Muerto basin, one of the most promising lithium deposits in Argentina. Posco has committed to investing around $4 billion in the project, aiming to supply growing battery markets in Asia and Europe.

 Los Teros Wind Farm

Location: Buenos Aires Province, Argentina
Status:
Operational (since 2021)
Owner: YPF Luz
Installed Capacity: 174 MW

Los Teros is one of Argentina’s largest wind farms, generating clean energy to power more than 200,000 homes. It contributes to the country’s goal of sourcing 20% of its electricity from renewables by 2025.

The Noor Laayoune Solar PV Park is a 84.50MW solar PV power project located in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, Morocco. Post completion of construction, the project was commissioned in 2018. The project was developed by Chint New Energy Technology; Acwa Power. Chint New Energy Technology; Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy; Acwa Power Renewable Energy own the project.

Noor Ouarzazate I

Installed power: 160 MW

The 71.50MW Ouarzazate Solar PV Park solar PV power project is located in Draa-Tafilalet, Morocco. Chint New Energy Technology; Acwa Power has developed the project. It was commissioned in 2018. The project is owned by Chint New Energy Technology; Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy; Acwa Power Renewable Energy

Noor Midelt I

Installed power: 800 MW

The Noor Midelt I project is part of Morocco's ambitious solar energy program, particularly focusing on concentrated solar power (CSP) combined with photovoltaic (PV) technology. It is located in the Midelt region of Morocco and is designed to enhance the country's renewable energy capabilities by combining the advantages of both solar power generation methods.
