The UK and Chile have signed a landmark agreement to boost green hydrogen projects, with over £5bn in UK export credit support. This partnership is led by UK Export Finance (UKEF) and Chile's CORFO, will fund large-scale green hydrogen initiatives, driving Chile’s renewable energy sector and creating export opportunities for UK clean tech firms. Green hydrogen plays a crucial role in both countries' energy transition strategies, helping Chile achieve its 70% renewables target by 2050 and enabling the UK to decarbonise hard-to-electrify industries.
